Meet Stephanie Henderson
My decision to run for the Dayton City Council is rooted in my deep involvement and my family's commitment to our community. As a resident for the past eight years, my family has actively contributed to public services, especially in Fire and Rescue. We participate in citywide events, education, training, and outreach efforts.
Professionally, I currently hold a Data Analyst position within the Resource Planning department at an electric cooperative serving 1.7 million Minnesotans. Our cooperative model ensures that our actions are guided by the needs of our member owners, rather than profits. With a strong emphasis on long-term planning and a holistic perspective, I am well-prepared to serve the citizens of Dayton. My engineering background allows me to analyze opportunities with a thorough and interconnected lens, ensuring that decisions in public service are grounded in research, informed discussions, and a commitment to exceeding expectations.
As a mother of four, I bring a much-needed female perspective to the City Council and represent families with children of varying ages. I understand the challenges and opportunities that come with raising a family in Dayton and am committed to ensuring that our city provides a safe, nurturing, and vibrant environment for all residents.
My vision for Dayton includes integrating family values into the heart of our community, ensuring that essential services keep pace with our city's growth. I am dedicated to strategic development that leverages a dynamic mix of rural, suburban, and commercial amenities suited to Dayton's unique topography and layout. By honoring our heritage while planning for the future, we can create a thriving, cohesive community that meets the needs of all residents.
Thank you for considering my candidacy, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve our community and make a lasting positive impact.
